Wednesday 10th November 2004, 5.30pm In Parliament Square WC1. Nearest tube: Westminster. At 4pm military families will hand in a wreath at Downing Street. Protest supported by British military families against the war including families of Black Watch Regiment. Short notice, I know, but make the effort comrades. Does that also apply for when Bush invades Iran? Blair has to face re-election, if he sees how unpopular this war is he'll think twice about following Bush in the future.

No. I just don't see where the protests do much good if no one is listening to them. Blair had a chance to tell Bush to go F himself when this whole mess started and he didn't. He's spineless. And the majority of Americans already made their choice when it comes to Dubya.

What the whole situation needs is someone like John Kerry during Vietnam - someone who went to war, came back, and decided it was wrong. Thousands of disaffected veterans with lost limbs protesting in the streets. Unfortunately I think the death toll has to go even higher for that to happen.
