Hello there Comrades! Im newly registered to the Redskins board! Although I've been visiting for a bit now. Im a Redskins Fan from back in the day, remember buying the album on its release on my 16th Birthday! How time flies eh? Im from Belfast over here in Ireland, and in the past have been a strongly commited member of SHARP in Belfast, although just a overwieght grumpy Skinhead who knows how to put Racists in thier place with a couple of words! it needs to be done over here as we are now the Racist capital of Europe! Im also a DJ playing Ska Reggae to anyone who wants to listen! Hope to be able to contribute to the discussions!

Cheers for the Acknowledgement Dee!! Did you come to Belfast with the Redskins when they played Queens University in 84/85? Would like to know how that gig went as I was too young too get into a Bar at the time, and as it was at the Height of the Troubles movement across the city was very risky, well for a 15 year old!!!

No Dee I think that they only played once in Belfast!! Maybe twice but as I said I was too young then and Belfast was extremely dangerous at the time!! Would love to have seen the Band and heard their take on the Irish question??

HI bazza, great work ! really...
I've met Chris Dean in France, a long time ago...Not really a nice bloke...
In 1986 The Redskins played for SOS Racism and the whole concert was on television, late at night...
I have a lot of story about the band in Paris, if you're interested in send me a mail.

Its really great to see the boards getting regular updates, and even greater to find new members joining. The Redskins were/are a top band and the lyrics and songs sound as fresh now as they did all those years ago.If ever a revolution was needed its NOW, with all the shit going down around the world. My wife is Kenyan and the crap thats going down there at the moment is really sad, but also awfully predictable. Same in Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Iraq etc etc. I guess we just have to keep on keepin' on until the message hits home to the masses.

Would love to hear any stories you have of the Redskins. Maybe you could post them up on these boards. I have a copy of the Redskins gig for SOS Racism on DVD. It seems that a few Redskins gigs were shown on TV at the time except in England as I also have gigs from Italy & Germany which were both shown on TV too. As all we got in England was the odd live song or two although Radio 1 did once broadcast a gig live.

Around 1986 in PARIS, the antifa action and the left wing skinheads were mainly Anarchists(scalp) or a few Stalinists(pcf) or eventually social democrats(sos racism)...I think that Dean was very upset by this situation. One day, saw him in a demonstration with his Trotskyst group I.S, nobody around me believes me. No you're wrong it's not him...So i asked the guy...Yes it's me, but you'are an anarchist? And all your friends? Me...Yes, is that a problem? Him: you're an anarchist. Me: ok. Ok guys it's him but he doesn't want to talk because he think we're anarchists...So funny...
Next time :Story of the french band "THE BRIGADES" on tour with the redskins in England...
