i don't have the rarities cdr in front of me right now to make a direct comparison between the 2, but does anyone know offhand whether the version of lev bronstein on that bootleg is the actual 7" version, as opposed to the rendition on the peel sessions ep? i assumed it was the former till i glanced at the track listing awhile back while compilating a redskins disc for friends & noticed that (if memory serves) it replicated the running order on the peel 12".

"Lev Bronstein" on the bootleg album is the 7" version as it isn't on the Peel Session EP. However, the b-side "Peasant Army" does feature on both the bootleg album and the Peel Session EP.
Does anyone know which country the bootleg album comes from? I aways thought it came from Germany, but the copies that have come up for sale on ebay are always in America. Also does anyone know how many copies of the bootleg album were pressed?

oops ... i meant "peasant army." duh. glad to know that i actually have the b-side take on both the cdr & the peel sessions 12" (which i found for maybe $3 in the early '90s among the vinyl cutouts at a store back home in little rock ... miracles *do* happen).
in any event, i have no idea where the bootleg originated ... first i ever heard of it was about 5 years ago, when i came across it in an italian vendor's listing on gemm, though he would up not actually having it.

Talking of "Lev Bronstein" does anyone know all of the lyrics to the song? As I can't work out one of the verses (see below). I am also looking for the lyrics to "The Crack", "Young & Proud" and "The Peasant Army". If anyone can help out with the lyrics to any of the songs I will send them a few Redskins bootlegs in return and also a copy of the Redskins tribute EP "A Flame That Can't Be Dimmed". Here are the lyrcs I have for "Lev Bronstein". The verse marked with ??.... is the one I can't work out. LEV BRONSTEIN: Russia is a man who turned into stone his is a sad history There was another man who fought along and left a legacy The lesson never learned the passion killed by state bureaucracy The other man killed too & so fulfilled his tragic prophesy, tragic prophesy Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me Are you going Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein ??.... ??.... ??.... ??.... Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me Are you going Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein But in Poland passion burned the dream has returned a worker said to me Moscow will burn again and so will Leeds with Solidarity With Solidartity his legacy, legacy Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me, Moscow is like Leeds Are you going she said to me Are you going Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Lev Bronstein Are you going Are you going Are you going Are you going
