Hi there, looking at the Redskins dates it brought back memories especially the Liverpool dates, I promoted the Philharmonic and Sefton Park gigs and helped with the other two gigs. I use to look after the High Five and we played with both the Redskins and Bragg and there was talk of me tour managing what I think became their last European tour, I think their van and equipment was torched on this tour. Martin did tell me that their van was attacked at one of the German gigs. At the same gig there was also someone stopped on the door who was carrying a gun.
Are you from Liverpool then? As I'm trying to find out about a record that Ronnie Flood put out. I have the anti-poll tax comp that he did. But I was told that he also released an anti-nazi comp which included a track by Raj The Magitones (Martin's band after the Redskins) . I don't suppose you know anything about it?

Hi Bazza, I have not seen Ronnie for a long time will make enquiries for you and try and find out about these albums.
The van story was that it was torched along with their gear and that there were hit squads out to get the Redskins while in Europe. I believe it got very hairy a number of times. Regards
On another note re:Record label would you consider releasing tracks from a liverpool band from a while ago, PM me if you wish to chat further

On another note re:Record label would you consider releasing tracks from a liverpool band from a while ago, PM me if you wish to chat further What band is it? As I'm always interested in hearing political bands & protest songs. Although it will probably be awhile before my record label releases due to the poor sales of the Redskins tribute CD. But I am thinking about putting out a compilation of new & old political bands sometime next year.
