My last band Afterglow have a track due out on a compilation album next week. The track is "60's Song" which we recorded on the day the band split up. At last, a record label dedicated to and influenced by the best moments of musical history performed by the bands of today! Taking their lead from the classic song writing established by the likes of Ray Davies, Pete Townshend, Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane, combined with the incendiary performances of such great bands as The Creation, The Action, The Who, The Small Faces and The Kinks to name but a few, and influenced by Rhythm & Blues, Soul and Modern Jazz, the Biff Bang Pow roster are set to take your sound systems by storm. Distributed by F Minor in the UK & Europe, and Get Hip in the USA, Biff Bang Pow will be bringing together the recorded work of some of the most hard working established “live” acts of the current scene along with the most exciting new talent going. And first up on the Biff Bang Pow release schedule is “Shake”, a compilation featuring a shed load of great bands. Packed full of enthusiasm, song writing talent and a wealth of gigging experience, this collection of artists show the awesome sound that is still prevalent in the underground purveyed to the switched on set. Made by the scene and for the scene.
