Mick Whitnall did play a few gigs with The Ferrymen but was not a member of the band. The Ferrymen where formed by the lead singer of Skin Deep. There were 2 exmembers of Skin Deep in 100 Men, Mick and Stig the drummer. Check this weeks NME there are a few pics of Mick Whitnall as a Babyshamble. I saw a gig review of Skin Deep once and it mentioned that the band covered a Redskins song. Do you know which song it was? As the article never gave the song title.

I saw Skin Deep in Scarboro in 1988 and they played 'Keep on keepin' on' in their encore.

Where did you get such an info from??? It's a kind of mistery. I can't remember who told me that George Marshall was now living in Japan but it was on a yahoo skinhead group which has since shut down. It was about 2 year ago now so I'm not sure if he's still living over there. And I have no way of contacting him now since the Pulped site shut down.

Thinking about it, it could well have been Tim 'Bilko' Wells who told me that George Marshall was now living in Japan. Tim was in the original line up of The Blaggers and also wrote for George Marshall's skazine Zoot!

Mik, Stig, Jud (bass) & Cal (sax). Jud left after about a year after a mini-tour of Southern Ireland, to be replaced on bass by Broth. Cal left just after New Year's 1992. From then on 100 Men moved base from Doncaster to London & with Mik & Stig as the core memebers they had a few line-up changes over the years. We all know what happened to Mik; Stig moved to Japan with his wife & teaches English.

He used to do a fanzine called And All That Cal which I think I may have one or two issues of somewhere about the house.

There more details on Tetley's MySpace page - www.myspace.com/tettersplayspopThanks for this. I looked on the myspace but it doesn't give full details of where the Tetfest is being held. Would you let me know the location of the festival please. Also if you speak to Tetley soon ask him to say "Hello" from Cal to Broth & hopefully i'll see him in September.

Gotta say that after checking out the pics I think Mick looked a lot better in his skinhead days. I hope he's not all crack and smacked out like Pete Doherty.
