Aal th' Best Normski. Glad you got the mags back ok Norman. I remember when I was a kid you had the choice of 4 weekly music mags - NME, Sounds, Melody Maker & Record Mirror. I think part of the problem these days with the NME is that there is no competition anymore. The last time I read an issue it was like reading Smash Hits or some teen pop mag. Nothing like it used to be in the early 80s. All of the serious articles have long since gone. You'd never see anyone these days in the NME write about Blair, Bush, the war in Iraq, global warming, the nuclear threat which is with us once again - I wonder if New Labour will issue everyone with a copy of the Protect & Survive booklet?

Yeah, I feel sorry for todays youngsters. I'm currently a secondary school teacher and the ignorance of kids is very sad. They don't seem to know or care about the world around them, and they call themselves Goths, or worse, Emo's. The fact that there seems to be no quality music press, or even quality tv seems to add to their dysfuntionality.
