I currently listening to The Selecter "The Archive Series" CD which features 3 radio sessions (John Peel '79 & '80 and a Mike Reid one from 1980) and 5 live tracks from The Paris Theatre 1979.
I've been playing a lot of 2 Tone recently. It was the first music scene I ever got into. Hard to believe it was all 25 years ago. Time for a Ska revival?
What's everyone else currently listening to?

I like The Grooveblasters remix of "The Magnificent 7" by The Clash. He also did a cool remix for The Yell Leaders cover of "The Power Is Yours" which is available on the Redskins tribute EP "A Flame That Can't Be Dimmed". You can download more of The Grooveblaster's stuff at the following site - ctomag.com/may16cto/grooveblaster3.html

Anyway, I'm currently listening to the "Radio Clash" CD that came free with this months Mojo magazine. It's got some pretty cool tunes on the disc. I also picked up the 3 disc set of "London Calling" today which I'll be giving a spin later. Track listing:1. Saturday Night Style - Mikey Dread 2. On The Subway - The Last Poets 3. Hold On! I'm A Comin' - Sam & Dave 4. Run Boy Run - Lee Hazelwood 5. Ride The Donkey - The Tennors 6. Black Man Time - I Roy 7. Everybody's Got A Baby But Me - Warren Miller 8. Sweet Revenge - 101'ers 9. Part Time Punks - Television Personalities 10. House Of The Ju Ju Queen - Janie Jones 11. Singing The Blues - Tommy Steele 12. I'm Not Down - Thea Gilmore 13. Every Little Bit Hurts (live) - The Spencer Davis Group 14. Wrong Em Boyo - The Rulers 15. White Man Live At The 100 Club - Joe Strummer

As he does mention them in the sleeve notes of the Redskins Live CD. I'm not sure why it won't let you log in. I do know that I had trouble on a few other forums before with logging in. So I changed my web browser and everythings OK now.

I sent Swells an email. Anyway, it looks like Dojo made a mistake on the sleeve notes as the bands name is 25th Of May. Check on www.netsounds.com as they have loads of records by them.

This is what Swells had to say about the band and the mistake in the sleeve notes of the Redskins live album.
--------------------------------------------------------
Pretty stupid mistake someone made there, hope it wasn't me. The main thing I remember about the 25th of May (who were named after the Belgrano's sister ship) was that they were from Liverpool, the lead singer was in the SWP - and he wore shell-suits as a way of pissing off the middle classes. And nobody at the NME liked them except me. Which meant they were doomed.
