I'm a big fan of the Redskins. Used to be a Mod and now a Skinhead. Love the Redskins, Clash and related bands of that era. I'm also a big fan of the Jam and the Style Council, as well as Paul Weller's solo work. These days I'm moving more towards Northern Soul and Jazz, Motown and such music like that. Sick and tired of all the bullshit music of yesterday and today. Even though the Redskins are no longer around it's still great to see a band with a voice taking a stand. Love Ska and Reggae and Rocksteady very much as well.
As a sidenote, I've been reading alot of books lately about world issues particularly in Latin America. Our Word Is Our Weapon by Zapatista Subcomandante Marcos is essential reading.
33 years old. My name is Billy and I work in a unionized supermarket on the nightshift.
Hello Billy, Its Norman writing from Harlow,Essex, UK. I used to be a bit of a mad mod when I was a lad long years ago, big Wilson Pickett fan,Otis,Aretha, Motown before discovering illegal substances in the late 60's and becoming a hippie. Still am i suppose though rapidly heading towards old age. The Redskins were a great band and their music is as good and true today as it was back in the 80's. .Aint all supermarkets unionized. Bloody well should be if they're not
