... The new Roddy Frame album, it's pretty good. Well worth a listen even if i do say so myself (though as you may be able to tell from the screen name i'm quite biased).
Any Aztec Camera fans on the board, or am i on me own!

I've never really listened to Aztec Camera myself. But there is a 1 page feature on Roddy Frame in this months mojo magazine (page 154). In the article he name checks 2 bands that I do like - Arthur Lee & Love and The Chocolate Watch Band. It also mentions that Dave Ruffy was the drummer of Aztec Camera. Is this the same Dave Ruffy that was in The Ruts?

Yah, it's the same Dave Ruffy, Roddy and Campbell Owens were looking for a drummer after a few drummers had been and gone. It was just after Ruts DC had finished off, so Dave was free and Roddy was a bit of a Ruts fan so was more then happy Dave was able to drum for him. Ruffy was drummer on the albums Highland Hard Rain and Knife.

Yah, i've seen them and i agree The Ruts are a much under rated band, who deserve much more credit for there music.... The Crack is one of the greatest albums of the late 70s and i have an especial love for the tracks Jah War and Dope for Guns. I've seen them music videos a couple times, i never actualy knew there was a music video for Something That i Said, so that was very nice to see.
