hello all you fellow redskin-ians! Nice site you have got here. Ive only recently discovered the redskins (from my dad!) and absolutely adore them! There are so few political left-wing bands around these days, its a breath of fresh air to actually listen to some music with meaning! It gets me all worked up and rearing for a revolution! Are there any modern bands around today that are roughley of the same type? Im gutted i didnt get a chance to see them live and am now on the look-out for other socialist skinhead bands that i can go and bop around to!
Peace yal! nadira xxx

There's a few left wing skinhead bands still around, most of which are playing at the IWCA benefit gig in London next month (see flyer below). None of them sound like the Redskins though as most of them are Oi! bands.

Thanks bazza! However, i live near leeds so i probably wont be able to make it. Know of any gigs up in the yorks going on? Also, is there any CD around which has songs like 'Unionize', 'Young and Proud', 'The Peasant Army' and 'You want it? They've got it!'. I love those songs but they are on a dying tape of mine and so a record or CD would be much better!

Unionize is available on the Abstract Punk compilation album which also includes the origianl version of Lean On Me. The CD is still available from Amazon - ClickyThe other tracks have never been released on CD. Cherry Red Records are looking into reissuing the Redskins album along with some bonus tracks which will include those songs. However, they are still waiting to hear back off Universal Music who own most of the Redskins back catalogue. If you want I can send you a CD-R of those tracks + some other Redskins stuff. Just PM me your address and I'll sort it out.
